Rumors claim Apple will provide a sneak peek and introduce the iPhone 8 as early as June 5 or at the start of the WWDC 2017. But that actually happening appears to have been debunked by the latest report that claims the next iPhone intro has been September 20 and the actual release date will follow nine days later.

Following Apple's confirmation that Apple will livestream its WWDC 2017 edition for the whole world to see, per the report by MacRumors, expectations run high that apart from the iOS 11 reveal something bigger could be introduced by Apple CEO Tim Cook. It might be the rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro that will have the same form factor of the 9.7-inch version due to bezel-less front display.

Or better yet, the tech giant could provide a preview of the iPhone 8. However, the rumored next iPhone sneak peek seems a remote possibility by now as iDownloadBlog.com picked up a leaked memo that supposedly will prohibit leaves and vacations for Apple Store employees and AppleCare specialists. The document was first shared by Benjamin Geskin via Twitter.

The reason for the blocking out of leaves and vacations? "There are new product announcements and launches in September. In anticipation of the upcoming events and the corresponding heightened call volume expected, we will be increasing our staff across all of our programs over the summer," the Apple internal memo was quoted by iDB as saying.

The memo also revealed the observance of "Black Out Days" that will start September 4 and will last until November 4. Affected Apple personnel are those in the AppleCare programs for Advisors and Leaders, the report added.

And basing on the memo, Geskin then shared his forecast that the next iPhone unveiling will take place either on September 13 or 20. If Cook will pick the latter then preorders will likely commence on September 22, the pattern purportedly based on previous release cycles used by Apple.

If the same pattern holds then the actual device rollout will begin September 29, a Friday, and Geskin is convinced this target date applies for the iPhone 7S series and tentatively the iPhone 8 as the latter is long-rumored to experience delays in arrival.

In his most recent notes, Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities predicted that the iPhone 7S and iPhone 8 will be announced as scheduled in September and the former will be made available shortly. But the iPhone 8 release date could be until November or December, Kuo warned, due to component and production problems.
