Market watchers are expecting a royal rumble in March, when Apple and Samsung are supposed to come out with their latest versions in quick succession.

It is not the first time that both these giants are launching their new products almost at the same time. Usual practice of Apple is to announce the latest versions in early September, and the products will be available in the retail market by the end of the month. Berlin IFA Show will be organized during this time every year, where Samsung used to introduce their latest versions.

However, in the past, launching of products at same time never caught the attention of market watchers. The major reason was that when Samsung was making smart phones with larger screens and could succeed in creating a phablet market, Apple stayed with relatively smaller screens with smaller resolutions. Hence, there was not much competition among them. It was in 2014, when the world saw iPhones with larger screens which geared a tough competition among these two market leaders.

Situation has changed a lot in 2016, and Samsung has reasons to worry. Now, Galaxy Note range has a good fan following, but they are not the South Korean's flagship. Samsung has to do a lot of hard work to make people buy the higher priced phones, instead of adjusting with middle range phones with enough features. It needs to come out with unique features and applications. At the same time, since iPhones are capturing markets vigorously, Samsung will need to put more effort in matching Apple's phase.

Certainly, both Samsung and Apple will be there even after the releases, but the competition will get tougher. Hence, the market watchers are waiting to see the way in which the world turn. "Whether Samsung or the Apple to be benefitted" is the million dollar question taking rounds in the market nowadays.
