Whenever Apple releases a new iOS version, the usual recommendation is to move and install the freshly deployed firmware for improved security and to get the latest bug fixes. But there are compelling reasons as well to skip, the new iOS 10.3.2 release for instance.

There are rising complains that the latest Apple mobile OS firmware is a battery drain. Per News IENT, "iPhone 5s as well as 6s users have been complaining that their batteries are draining out quicker than usual, and that their phones have been shutting down at 80 percent." The bug appears to be exclusive on compatible iPhone models as the report added no similar issues have been reported by iPad and iPod users.

No word yet if Apple has already acknowledge the issue, indicating that a fix is not coming the coming days. But since iOS 10.3.3 is already a public beta, it can be assumed that the battery drain will only be resolved once the firmware becomes official. When iOS 10.3.3 is coming out though remains a big question mark.

The best guess would be anytime this week and no later than May 29 (but it should be noted that next Monday is a holiday in the U.S.). It's unlikely that Apple will provide a patch on June as the month will see the introduction of iOS 11, specifically on June 5 via the WWDC 2017.

The wise thing to do now is to stay away from version 10.3.2 for those who have yet to make the jump. And for those who already upgraded, they might consider walking back especially if the plan is to jailbreak. According to iPhone Hacks, it is a must for jailbreak fans to keep a safe distance from the latest iOS firmware "as Apple has made it even more difficult to jailbreak it."

And rumors indicate there will be an iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak release that could come from Team Pangu or any other jailbreak creator to will pick up on the exploit to be released by a security researcher this coming August.

The iOS 10.3.1 exploit will supposedly open the door for jailbreak the firmware and will be made public soon, meaning from Pangu, TaiG and even Luca Todesco can examine the exploit and cook up a working jailbreak that they can share.
