During Electronic Arts' quarterly conference call for investors and analysts, Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson talked more about the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront II."

During the Electronic Arts quarterly earnings call, company executives spoke about their plans and expectations for "Star Wars Battlefront 2". During the call, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed that the company expects to sell around 14 million copies of "Star Wars Battlefront 2" during in the game's first five months.

Wilson mentioned that content at launch is going to be over three times the size as that of the first game of the series, and the company also has a "very very robust" live services plan, that will be talked about around EA Play and E3.

Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen mentioned that Electronic Arts shipped 14 million units of the first "Battlefront" between its release and the end of the related fiscal year, and the company expects to ship "essentially the same number" of "Battlefront II" units before March 31st, 2018. Of course, Electronic Arts aspires to sell more than that.

Rumors suggest that EA's DLC plans for "Battlefront II" might be similar to how additional content was offered for "Titanfall 2." EA could release free DLC maps, modes and heroes, and it could sell in-game cosmetics. EA did previously confirm that "Battlefront II" won't have a DLC season pass like the 2015 "Battlefront," International Business Times reports.

The reveal trailer for "Star Wars: Battlefront II" is already promising a single-player campaign that's being developed by Motive Studios, the inclusion of the three eras of the "Star Wars" saga and expanded multiplayer modes. Although the EA CEO said that the game was going to be three times bigger than its predecessor, it wasn't made clear if how much of that will be dedicated to the single-player campaign.

As per GameRant, if "Star Wars Battlefront 2" can provide a compelling, interesting experience that meets and even exceeds gamer expectations, EA shouldn't have any trouble matching or beating the success of "Star Wars Battlefront". Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to release November 17, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
