When it comes to Pure Android delight, the choice is between Google's Pixel offerings or the near-Stock Android handsets from Nokia. However, there likely will be a third pick courtesy of Lenovo, which is rumored to soon unleash the Moto X 2017.

The returning Moto X, according to GSM Arena, is a mid-ranger as the Motorola flagship status now belongs to the Moto Z. And basing on the latest leaked details from China, the next Moto X will boast of premium specifications with the promise of relatively lower sticker price.

Pointing to a short clip (can be viewed below) that was shared via Reddit, the same report said the Moto X 2017 will unbox with a 5.5-inch display and acting as main engine is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SoC with 4GB of RAM support. The basic storage will start at 64GB but it's still unclear if memory expansion is part of the deal.

But the most notable feature listed on the leaked specs is that of the massive battery, which 9to5Google said is rated 3800mAh with QuickCharge support. The package not only promises extended operating hours per charge but also the ability to re-charge with lightning speed. The same specification was already seen with the Moto Z Play so this becoming true is not too remote, the report added.

As for the build and design, the handset housing finish will be a mix of metal and glass, no doubt of flagship class. Rounding up the high-end specs and feature upgrades are a slick overall finish, front-located fingerprint reader (meaning there will be no all-screen display), water/dust resistance protection and a dual camera setup that is equipped with laser autofocus.

GSM Arena said the next Moto X release will also include AI or artificial intelligence integration, purportedly to lure in mobile gaming fans.

And while pricing was not discussed in the leaked details, it can be assumed that when unpacked the Moto X 2017 will be cheaper compared to the competition - iOS and Android devices alike. As a mid-ranger, the handset is expected to sell no more than $500 or even lower.

No specific release date was mentioned but the Moto X 2017 touchdown is projected to happen real soon.
