Forget About Surface Pro 5, HP's Elite x2 1012 G2 is the Newest Surface Pro Clone

HP's Elite x2 1012 G2 is said to be the newest Surface Pro clone.

The new device is thinner than a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 at 0.36 inches thick. The Elite x2's has got a sharp and bright screen. The 12.3-inch touchscreen is bigger than its 11.6-inch predecessor, and the resolution is 2,736 x 1,824 pixels, Digital Trends reported.

Compared to 256GB and 16GB for the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, the device will offer 1TB of SSD storage and 16GB of RAM, ZDNet reported.  

The Elite x2 1012 G2 has a new Collaboration Keyboard with an aluminum deck and videoconferencing buttons.    

According to HP, the hybrid lasts up to 10 hours and 15 minutes on a single charge, and you can fast charge its up to 50 percent in half an hour. The Elite x2 1012 G2 has got a headphone jack, microSD card slot, a SIM card slot, full-sized USB 3.0 port and a USB-C 3.1 Thunderbolt port.

Also, the new device has an 8 MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a 5 MP camera on the front. Compared to the earlier Elite x2, the new Elite x2 1012 G2 has front-facing stereo speakers that direct sound towards users and not away from them.

Furthermore, the speakers are designed to improve bass. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the rear and an IR camera on the front for face authentication. The Elite x2 1012 G2 begins at $1,099 and will be available in July.
