Rumors have it the iPhone 8 will not appear on store shelves until November 2017 and finding one will not be an easy task. Not to mention, the asking price for the most premium model will be no less than $1000. So why not forget about the next iPhone and consider instead any of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6S.

Looking beyond the 2017 iPhones - said to be the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7S series - makes sense as the previous models will certainly remain inviting. And why not as both the iPhone 6S and 7 will surely get upgraded to iOS 11 that Apple will introduce in the next few weeks. That means, most of the feature upgrades delivered by the new mobile OS to the new iPhone models will also make their way to the last two iPhone series.

In other words, both the iPhone 6S and 7 will behave nearly the same as the new one. The two will be essentially the same as the upgrades that Apple is expected to reveal September this year.

But the best thing about the iPhones of 2015 and 2016 is the promise of lower pricing. Almost certainly, the starting price for the iPhone 7S will be $649 and the iPhone 7S Plus at $769. The iPhone 8 will debut with potential cash damage of more than $1000.

In comparison, the past iPhone models will become cheaper. Since the iPhone 7S will take the pricing model previously used with the iPhone 7, the latter will be discounted by at least $100 as previously practiced by Apple, according to Business Insider. For sure, once the 7S becomes official the iPhone 7 will be ready to take home for only $549 and the bigger version for only $649.

The same pricing is in use now for the iPhone 6S, which in turn will become Apple's budget offering hence to be sold at more affordable pricing level. No indication yet from Apple but price cuts for the iPhone 6S series could be between $100 and $150.

Or for better deals, watch out for the promos that will come from service providers and retail biggies like Best Buy and Walmart. In many cases, the iPhone 6S could be on the table for free in exchange for contract deals.

So while the next iPhone release date - any of the iPhone 7S series and iPhone 8 - will be the latest and greatest from Apple this 2017 they can literally break the bank, which will not happen if the purchase choice will be any of the iPhone 7 or iPhone 6S. The two handset models, by the way, are sure to get OS support until 2021.
