One of the most anticipated features for “Pokemon GO” is the PvP function just like the original Pokemon game series. This mode allows players from all around the world to battle one another and show off how well they have trained their monsters. For that reason, loyal players of the game have shared possible PvP mechanics and design.

Take the Battle on the Streets

Just like when battling in a Pokegym, the new player vs player function may have some similarities when battling in the gym. This includes warping players to a battle arena when the match starts and both players having 100 percent control over their Pokemon. Players are also expected to be able to use in-game items, change their Pokemon, and see how much HP does the opponent has left.

Battling by Teams

One of the reasons why “Pokemon GO” is such a big hit is because the game has a  lot of features. Aside from requiring players to walk to play the game. Team battles are also allowed in PokeGyms. Therefore, it would not be surprising if Niantic allows team vs team in the game as well. A battle system like this not only promotes socializing but also strategic thinking in players.

Unique Reward Systems and Player Rankings

Some are also hoping for a unique reward system in the Player vs Player function. Just like when winning gyms in streaks, players can be rewarded with PokeCoins if they continue to win battles. It would also make things exciting if a worldwide and nationwide ranking is featured in the game which will show who is the strongest player in the world. At the same time, this will also promote up-and-coming players to work harder to reach the top.
