DICE has revealed a new multiplayer map for "Battlefield 1" as part of its monthly update and teased future changes to the game. Also, it has proudly announced an impressive figure of current players of the World War 1 video game.

According to DICE, the game will be updated monthly and will introduce new weapons, maps, and other new contents. First is the map that is called Prise de Tahure, which is set on autumn after the Nivelle Offensive.

DICE describes the scenario in which French troops were desperately holding on to the recaptured heights in the area of Butte-de-Tahure. The frontline trench networks passes through several villages that are caught in the crossfire between German stormtroopers and French raiders.

It is described a war of attrition that necessitates players the skills of adaptability and tactics that would wear down the enemy. Prise de Tahure will be available at the Community Test Environment (CTE) soon.

In addition, the Nivelle Nights map that was recently announced will be available in June for those who purchased the "Battlefield 1" Premium Pass. Here is DICE's quick description of the map:

"This night map is located at the muddy battlefields around Malmaison and Soupir. Bite and hold as your foe will fight for every inch of ground."

Back to the game's new monthly update, May 2017 patch is coming soon, according to Eurogamer. Citing DICE, this update is expected to "make fans of Operations extra pleased." There are certainly playlists for the mode and easier access for players to get quickly into the action.

The game's second expansion called In the Name of the Tsar will be out late summer. It will be fully unveiled at Sony's E3 on June 12. The DLC will add the Russian army, new weapons, new maps and new vehicles.

Lastly, EA and DICE have announced that there are already 19 million people who played "Battlefield 1" from April 2016 to March 2017. This impressive figure is a significant step up from "Battlefield 4", which is fifty percent up in the same period from its launch.
