Unlike the past years, 2017 now offers various and impressive iPhone 7 alternatives. If you want fewer restrictions with your smartphone experience, below are some of the options you may try.

To begin with, Apple's great rival in the mobile business offers the  Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The design, display, and specs of the S8 series is something new from the Korean-based electronic company, especially after their Galaxy Note 7 debacle.

Unlike the iPhone 7 that is riddled with restrictions, the Galaxy S8 series runs the latest Android Nougat OS. Therefore, suggesting more freedom for users to customize their device. In terms of speed and power, the latest flagship device from Samsung offers the most recent Snapdragon chipset.

If you are looking for a cheaper iPhone 7 alternative, a relatively newcomer in the market could somehow help you. OnePlus' 3T model offers high-end specs at a bargain price, which is sometimes 50 percent cheaper than that of Apple's device.

Released last year, OnePlus 3T is equipped with a Snapdragon 821 mobile processor, with 6GB of RAM. However, unlike the Samsung's latest device, this unit runs an older version of Android but is upgradable to Nougat.

A leading brand in China, the HTC 10 could interest you as an iPhone 7 alternative. It has been considered as one of the market's popular flagship device in 2016. Similar to the OnePlus 3T device, it is also a bit cheaper than that of an iPhone.

Lastly, if you are still thinking of Apple products, despite the options given above, you might want to consider buying an iPhone 6 instead. This would be more logical if your primary purpose is just to merely stay in the iOS 10 ecosystem, according to New Atlas.

The device features may not be similar to that of the iPhone 7, but its design is almost identical. Plus, you still get to enjoy iPhone services while paying a relatively lower price.
