The waiting game is on for the rumored iOS 10.3-10.3.1 jailbreak release from Team Pangu but it appears the anticipated rollout will be eclipsed by the improvements that Luca Todesco's Yalu102 jailbreak solution has been getting lately. The latest is a fix on the 7-day signing problem though a temporary one.

A new tweak called Extended Installer will automate the process of re-signing jailbreak apps every week unless one has a paid Apple developer account. With the tool, jailbreak users no longer need to connect their devices to a computer in order to sideload their applications. Extended Installer, which was built around the Cydia Extender, will do the trick.

Developed by Matt Clarke, iDownloadBlog.com said the tweak claims to do the following:

• Automatic re-signing of applications.
• Installation of applications without the need for a VPN/paid dev account.
• Caching of your Apple ID login details, to avoid having to sign-in each time. (Note: sensitive information is stored in the keychain.)
• Basic settings to configure alerts shown by the automatic re-signing.
• A Troubleshooting panel to help with any errors that may occur.

And using it seems essentially straightforward but as the tool remains in beta status getting it to work will require some bits of reconfiguration. For now, iDB said Extended Installer can be downloaded by adding to Cydia this repo: http://repo.incendo.ws.

The report also reminded that prior to the installation, users need to make sure similar Extender tweaks have been removed or deleted to avoid possible issues or conflicts. The tweak will not work too on iOS 9.x jailbreaks but according to the developer an update on Cydia Extender could soon permit users on the jailbreak versions to take advantage of the tool's benefits.

However, only Saurik has the power to implement such adjustments on Cydia, iDB said on its report.

Extended Installer is far from perfect at its current state but it does the job of automating the 7-day signing process that makes the Yalu102 jailbreak a more convenient solution. For those willing to take the tweak for a spin, Redmond Pie has prepared a guide here.

Or they can just opt to wait out for the release of Pangu's iOS 10.3-10.3.1 jailbreak solution that is rumored to come out following Apple's scheduled release of iOS 10.3.2 next week. The Pangu jailbreak seems worth the wait as rumors say it will support the iPhone 7 series and perhaps all 64-bit devices on the iOS 10.x firmware. And it's likely too the jailbreak is not plagued by the 7-day signing problem.
