This coming June or when Apple opens the door for the 2017 edition of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the tech giant is rumored to drop a big surprise. One analyst said the smartphone world will get a glimpse of the iPhone 8 but the actual release date will not happen until a few more months.

There are reports, in fact, that the next iPhone, specifically the most premium of the three models that Apple is rumored to deploy this year, will arrive late. Production and supply issues will reportedly force Apple to delay the large-scale shipment of the device. Analysts estimated November 2017 could be the earliest that Apple fans will get to grab the iPhone 8, or they will have to wait until early next year.

Notwithstanding, JP Morgan is forecasting that Apple will provide an early preview of the things to come for the iPhone 8, iDownloadBlog.com reported. It's unclear how the next iPhone sneak peek will go about but the prediction appears convinced that by next month and using the WWDC 2017 event, Apple will formally introduce the next flagship to replace the iPhone 7.

The claim is not without basis as iDB recalled that in the past Apple has revealed new iPhone models through the WWDC gathering, and the last of which was the iPhone 4. So it makes sense that the company will use the same event to at least tease the next iPhone.

Yet in doing so Apple could be courting a number of tangible risks. For one, a premature reveal of the iPhone 8, according to BGR, will only prompt more Apple fans to delay on their decision to get a new iPhone since an upgraded model is supposedly about to come out. "Showing the world a brand new iPhone 8 at WWDC would have an adverse impact on iPhone sales from June all the way up to whenever the iPhone 8 actually sees the light of day," the report said.

And showing off the iPhone 8, impress the fanboys with it but make them wait seems illogical. Reports have so far indicated that the device will not start selling until November or December this year, and as predicted by well-known Apple insider Ming-chi Kuo the device will initially hit the market constrained by limited supplies.

So the odds are not in favor of an early iPhone 8 introduction despite the JP Morgan report. Kuo's earlier report seems more believable - that Apple will simultaneously unveil the iPhone 7S series and the iPhone 8. But release date of the latter will be more likely delayed.
