A mini version of the LG G6 may be released soon. A recently obtained document has confirmed the development of the LG G6 mini by the Korean company.

It has been a long tradition of smartphone brands to release a smaller version of their high-end flagship devices. LG is not oblivious to this trend as it previously released the G4c and G5 Mini devices, according to GSM Arena.

The premier source of leaks and tips, Techno Buffalo, claims to be in possession of a document proving that the Korean electronics brand is developing a mini G6. Due to the sensitivity of the document, only a few details were provided online.

Based on the document, the device in question will feature a 5.4-inch display compared to the original's 5.7-inch. However, the mini-version of the device will retain the 18:9 aspect ratio like the newly released G6 model.

There is still no clear information about the internal setup of the device. It is still unclear whether the Korean brand will water down the specs of the device or would carry over the specs of the original larger version to the mini G6.

Regardless of the decision concerning internal setup, the release of a smaller version will likely give LG an elbowing room against other brands.

Despite the alleged document confirming the development of a mini version of the G6, the report should still be taken with a grain of salt. The document lacks information about the pricing of the potential LG G6 mini or even a timeframe for the smartphone's release.
