In just a matter of weeks, "Fast and Furious 8" has dominated the box office with strong and positive results. It is speculated that the success of Vin Diesel's movie has outpaced the technology of "Guardians of the Galaxy."

It is undeniable that the movie is all about hacking and state of the art technology. The movie circulates on tech and how it was used to protect and destroy humanity. The hacker used the technology to dominate the society, such as the integration of self- driving cars, computers, cameras and a whole lot more. Based on the plotline, technology was a focal aspect in the movie.

That being said, speculations are rising that the tech being used on Vin Diesel's movie is much better than with Chris Pratt's movie. Not only with "Guardians of the Galaxy," but "Fast and Furious 8" has also surpassed "Boss Baby" in the box office, particularly in the UK.

According to a report, given the commercially modest set of new films it was up against, the eighth instalment in the "Fast and Furious" franchise had no problem holding on to the top spot at the UK box office, grossing £3.59m in its second frame, for a 12-day total of £23m, this compares with £26.25m for "Fast and Furious 7" after two weekends of play, although that was just a 10-day number.

"Fast and Furious 8" is already the sixth biggest hit of 2017 at UK cinemas and on the second-place is "The Boss Baby" and third-placed "Beauty and the Beast" were also unchanged from last week and "Beauty and the Beast's" £68.8m total puts it in eighth place in the all-time UK box office rankings, just below "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" (£73.1m).

On a separate report, on the business side of things, the sold out tickets and the high number of viewers spawned positive returns for Vin Diesel and the rest of the team of "Fast and Furious 8." Rappler added on to note that the eighth installment in Universal Studio's series starring megastars Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shattered records during its opening last weekend with global revenues of more than a half-billion dollars.

As for the claims that the technology integrated on "Fast and Furious 8" is better than "Guardians of the Galaxy," that rumor remains unsettled. For other assertions and hearsays, everything should be taken with a grain of salt in mind.
