If you are looking to build a desktop PC from scratch or purchase a laptop, choosing between an AMD and Intel processor can be quite challenging. The efficiency of both processors is not the only concern, but their availability and cost are also worth considering.

Putting budget into consideration, AMD rules the lower market. However, it does not imply that buyers will not get good performance from its products - AMD is a real value for money.

Intel's Kaby Lake is compatible with different devices including PC, laptops, tablets, 2-in-1 phablets, and also servers. Intel has a solid standing with its Centrino platform, while AMD's Turion is a few steps behind.
