Ultron and Sigma will search and collect the Infinity Stones to serve purpose and both villains have merged together as one being called "Ultron Sigma". Ultron Sigma has somehow conquered Asgard as the Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Thor and Captain Marvel) join forces with Capcom characters Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, Chris Redfield and Mega Man X to save both universes.

Unfortunately, they are outmatched by Ultron Sigma as he prepares a death blow to both teams. The trailer ends with a release date of "Mavrvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" on Sept. 19, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.

In addition, Sigma will also be a pre-order playable character and a special collector's edition of the game containing our interlinking dioramas from TriForce of Iron Man, Chun-Li, Captain Marvel, and Mega Man X. The deluxe edition will come with a steelbook case and character costumes of Gladiator Hulk and Command Mission X. All pre-orders, regardless of edition, will receive the Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes, Gamerant reported.

The "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" trailer also featured new characters from both franchises. Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Hawkeye, Thor and Ultron for the Marvel side, while Chris Redfield, Strider Hiryu and Chun-Li for Capcom, Eurogamer reported.

These characters will join the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Ryu, Mega Man X and Morrigan, as well as rumors of Dante, Frank West and the X-Men in the sequel.

This also confirms the statement Capcom representative Michael Evans made that the plot will center on Mega Man X and Captain Marvel.

Marvel Game's representative Mike Jones added that the "core" foundation that Marvel made from TV series, movies, games etc. is the storytelling and so with the new emphasis on the cinematic story mode and the story of how these two universes collide, and how the characters meet, it drove a lot of the creative decisions for what characters to use in the game.

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch on Sept. 19 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
