According to WCCFTech, showing off the RX Vega GPU certainly points to a product debut on June. The card series is lined up for introduction on May 30 with AMD making use of the Computex 2017 in Taiwan so the rollout time is expected to happen the following month, the report added.

As the NAB show in Las Vegas is programmed to highlight the growing 8K standard, it is expected that Vega will feature capabilities in the same standard. In fact, AMD provided strong hints that Radeon Pro GPU series, which will run on the Vega platform, can easily handle 4K and 8K processing - both in the creating and editing aspects, PC World reported.

The Vega GPU will also be paired with premium and server-grade CPU, possibly the rumored 16-core Ryzen chip that AMD will release later this year, the report added.

Vega is likewise designed with artificial intelligence functionalities, WCCFTech said, adding that the graphics cards will be released in versions optimal for portable computing or notebook use.

So far, Vega is known to boast of HBM2 memory technology and a freshly engineered GPU fire power. The Radeon Pro cards, for instance will hit the market in 4GB and 8GB configurations that AMD said will employ HBM stacks in varying densities.

Basing on leaked details and benchmark results, WCCFTech said the Vega 11 graphics cards will "feature a single HBM stack, to minimize the interposer footprint, which is advantageous on a multitude of facets." The approach is seen as more optimal for the notebook settings and will make the next-gen Radeon cards relatively cheaper, the report added.

The same report is convinced that following the official announcement via the Computex 2017 in May, AMD will release the RX Vega GPU series starting in June with a more affordable sticker price as opposed to the NVIDIA GTX cards.
