Instead of launching the sixth installment of the game at the E3 2017 event in June, 343 Industries would instead mark the anniversary of "Halo 3" by bringing it to PC with remastered graphics and cut-scenes, according to Game Rant.

This news is rooted in a recent AMD event in South Korea, where the company showcased its Ryzen processor family and other devices. While displaying the capacity of its CPU and GPU, a particular title stood out. Enthusiasts immediately took notice of the title "Halo 3: Anniversary," which has not been officially announced, according to Game Reactor. Although the installment's anniversary is yet to be confirmed, many believe that this display foreshadows the potential release of the PC version of the game this year. Therefore, obscuring the chances of the release of the sixth installment of the game.

The speculations of the release of "Halo 6" this year were reinforced by the "Mannequin Challenge" performed by the game developer's staff at the end of 2016.

However, it seems like its release date would be in 2018.
