If reports are anything to go by, Sony devices will get the Android 6.0 M update very soon. Given below is the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update release news for Sony Xperia Z3, Z4, Z5 Premium, Z5 and Z5 Compact.

According to reports, a beta test that the electronics company has been running on the Xperia Z3 Series has proven an 80% success. It means that the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 may get the Android Marshmallow update within the next few days.

The Z3 Compact and Z3 may get the Android 6.0 M first among the members of the Xperia series. Several reports suggest that the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z5 Marshmallow updates.

Speculations are there that these two devices will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates in February.

Sony devices that will get the latest Marshmallow updates include Xperia C4, Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M5, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Xperia Z3+, according to a Digital Trends report.

Users of Sony devices should check their Settings to see if any updates are available or not and 'System Update' to see if they can get an OTA update.  

Meanwhile, according to a SamMobile report, the tech company Samsung has rolled out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6 in South Korea.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge with model number SM-G925S and the Samsung Galaxy S6 with model number SM-G920S have got the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in South Korea.

The report added that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will get the firmware update in the country pretty soon.

Samsung has not rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to any of its devices till date. However,  Motorola, HTC and LG  have rolled the update out to some of their devices.

It is expected that the electronics company will roll out Android 6.0 M update to Galaxy J2, Galaxy J5, Galaxy J7, Galaxy E5, Galaxy E7, Galaxy A7, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5 LTE-A, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy S6 Duos and Galaxy S5.
