On April 7, Korean brand Samsung started accepting pre-orders on the new Galaxy S8 device and so far, the orders have reached a total of 550,000 for both Samsung S8 and Samsung S8 Plus. This is not surprising given how the Samsung Note 7's early exit due to battery problems. While the devices will not launch until the 21st of April, it's rather exciting to see how consumers are responding to the new Samsung model.

According to ValueWalk, pre-orders hit the said numbers two days after they made the announcement and that includes order from the US and Canada. Also, pre-ordering of the Samsung S8 and S8 Plus will last only until April 17. It is also safe to say that the fate of the Galaxy Note 7 also leads to the massive appreciation of the new Samsung Galaxy S8.

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 only received a total 200,000 pre-orders in its first two days. The number is doubled by the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus combined. Like what we have already mentioned, the biggest factor in the success of the Samsung S8 and S8 Plus is the early exit of the Galaxy Note 7. Nevertheless, it is also the hybrid's impressive design that gained popularity among smartphone users.

According to the TechRadar, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be released on the 21st of April in the US, whereas the UK region will receive the device on the 28th of April 2017. If you are not a willing participant in long cue lines, pre-order the device and have it delivered at your front door.

For those who are planning on buying the Samsung Galaxy S8, a SIM less device will cost around $720, £689 or AU$1,199. The Samsung S8 on the other hand will have a contract price of $28 to $35 per month depending on the network carrier.
