Apple is ceding no ground to hackers as the tech giant deployed at the start of the week beta 2 of iOS 10.3.2 and stopped signing versions 10.2.1 and 10.3. The latter move will certainly block the downgrade path for iPhone and iPad users running 10.3.1 and close the access door to Luca Todesco's Yalu jailbreak tool.

As jailbreak fans know, the Yalu jailbreak works only on iOS 10.2 and with the possibility of downgrading from the higher firmware versions no longer available then jailbreaking has become next to impossible. According to WCCFTech, the chance is dim for Todesco or any other iOS security researchers to come up with a jailbreak for version 10.2.1 so essentially jailbreaking for the firmware and up is dead for now.

And with the release of iOS 10.3.2 beta 2, which Apple said "contains bug fixes and improvements," the tech giant is only stressing on its mission to prevent hackers from cracking open iOS 10.3 and the succeeding updates. In the same way that a jailbreak for 10.2.1 is not on the horizon anytime soon, jailbreaking 10.3 and up seems not on the cards right now.

One reason is the shift from HFS+ to File System APFS starting with the iOS 10.3 rollout. It is said that the file system is designed to make iPhones and iPads jailbreak-proof, which Todesco appears to have confirmed. The hacker said that from 10.3 and going forward, modifying Apple's mobile OS will prove harder than it used to be if not downright undoable.

Todesco even recently declared that with the release of iOS 10.3, he's done with public jailbreaking as if providing a solid testament on how difficult it will be put together future jailbreak solutions. And his exit, if true, is another reason for fans not to expect a jailbreak release anytime soon.

Not from Todesco and certainly not from TaiG or Team Pangu as both groups have been missing in action since iOS 10 debuted September last year.

For now, the jailbreak scene can only rely on solutions but with attending limitations. For the 64-bit users, the only tool available is Todesco's Yalu jailbreak that remains in beta status and has yet to support the iPhone 7 series. There is no telling if a final version will be issued or if Todesco will finalize the JB tool at all.

As for the 32-bit crowd, Pangu9 and Home Depot are the options available that permit jailbreaking from iOS versions 9.1 to 9.3.4.
