Setting up a Windows machine just got easier using only your voice to configure a PC, thanks to a major update of Cortana smart assistant.

Here's a good news for the less tech savvy ones who are struggling to set up a new PC. According to Express, Microsoft has now updated its voice-activated smart assistant Cortona just in time for the rolling out of Windows 10 Creators Update.   In fact, the publication noted that the service can take control of the key steps involved in upgrading.

In particular, the smart assistant can connect your PC to a Wi-Fi network,  choose keyboard options and sign into your Microsoft Account,  all without you needing to touch the keyboard.

Should you wish a more hand-on approach, Microsoft lets you switch from voice control at any time.

According to the Verge, new machines that come with Windows 10 Creators Update preinstalled will see Cortana greet them at the beginning of the setup process.

The Verge writer contributor Tom Warren who installed the final version of the Windows 10 Creators Update commented "It's a neat process, and you can always jump in and use your mouse and keyboard at any point and mute the digital assistant," he said.

Another remarkable change would be in terms of the improvement of Microsoft's one-stop security hub Windows Defender. It now has a pop-up notification task bar that display the current protection at a glance.

Windows 10 Creators Update will be rolled out on April 11, but users can now get the improved voice-activated Cortona by simply downloading the Update Update Assistant directly from Microsoft.
