A new report is suggesting that iPhone 8 launch could soon break the tradition of annual September release of new Apple phone for the past five years.

According to MailOnline, the paper could debut its iPhone 8 in October of November as Apple faces challenges of designing a 'radical new iPhone'. The publication suggested that technical issues are to blame, as suppliers have struggled with the lamination process of the curved OLED panels and adoption of the 3D sensing front-camera technology.

The report about the possible delay of iPhone 8 launch first appeared in a Chinese-language Economic Daily News. According to Digitimes, market sources are watching the pull-in of orders for passive components from the iPhone's supply chain to see whether production of the new iPhone devices is on track. Moreover, as indicated by the paper, the supply chain should begin to pull in orders for passive components such as MLCCs in June.

iPhone's major suppliers include Foxconn Electronics, Wistron, Largan Precision, Yageo, TSMC, Pegatron Technology, Yageo, and Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE).

Some of the rumored iPhone 8 specs are as follows:

- Augmented reality to generate real-time views of surroundings

- Dual-lens 3D camera

- Wireless charging

- Curved glass casing - Plastic OLED screen

- New 5 inch (12.7 centimeters) and 5.8 inches (14.7 centimeters) model, which will have a wraparound OLED screen

- A folding element

- 5.8 inch will be designed with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor 'under the glass and in the active display area'

- Aluminum back will be replaced with two reinforced glass panels and a metal frame in the middle

- A new 'pure white' model

-Premium model will cost $1,000

- Facial recognition

MailOnline also highlighted that another clue suggesting a delay of iPhone 8 launch is that Foxconn, a Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturing company, has not shared as many leaks as it normally does around this time of year
