Game developer Sega has teased fans of a countdown clock that could be leading to the announcement of "Bayonneta 3" as the next big project coming soon. As hinted at the teaser page, the announcement will be happening on April 11. 

The image shown only indicated the number of days, hours and minutes left before the game developer reveals something for its avid fanbase. The header where the countdown clock can be found only reads, "Coming Soon".

But eagle-eyed fans posted on Reddit that the teaser could be related to an impending announcement of "Bayonetta 3". They spotted the foot of the game's character, Bayonetta, in the poorly lit background on the page. 

Before this news broke online, Sega launched a 8-bit "Bayonneta" game on Steam on April Fool's Day, which players can download for free. While playing, gamers were directed to the teaser site that has the countdown clock on it and as they examined closely, it drops a clue of the game's branding.

Fans, according to game pundits, can look forward to official release details on "Bayonneta 3" and a gameplay trailer also sounds plausible. Everyone must be on the lookout for more updates in the coming days before April 11 comes.  

The previous title, "Bayonetta 2", was released back in 2014 as an exclusive video game for Wii U and that's about three years since it came out. Both the past two games were developed by Platinum Games.   

Game designer Hideki Kamiya said at E3 2016 that "Bayonneta 3" had crossed his mind for countless times. He further revealed that he even wrote down some outlines of how he envisioned the third game. "And I feel really confident it would be cool if we got the chance to make it," he said.

The hack and slash game series features same mechanics with popular "Devil May Cry" franchise. It stars the sexy witch named Bayonneta who's loved by lots of players and they can hope to see her return soon in "Bayonneta 3".
