Recent reports gave fans a hint that all of the three anticipated 2017 iPhone models will sport a True Tone display. The technology mentioned was first exclusive only to the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. However, reports are coming in stating that it will be on the upcoming iPhones this year.

The iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, and iPhone 8 are all expected to have the True Tone display, reported by MacRumors. The True Tone technology developed by Apple function is it allows the screen of the smartphone to shift shades depending on the environment. Almost similar to a Night Shift, but it does more than lessen the blue light discharging from the screen. The tech is not just activated at night; it is more likely a 24-hour solution that works to adjust the white balance, color, brightness for better color precision and text legibility. Basically, this means reading and using the smartphone anywhere makes it more natural and comfortable.

The ambient light sensor needed for this technology which is the full spectral sensing will be supplied by Austrian semiconductor manufacturer AMS, claims the report. For the anticipated iPhone 7s models and even iPhone 8, the company thinks that the ams' content will increase because of the addition of its full spectral sensing ambient light sensor which the True Color screen functionality was already seen in the iPad Pro. The estimation for this to be a material step-up in content is from the range of $0.60 to $1.00, according to a report by Gadgets360.

The iPhone 8 is also expected to have an edge-to-edge OLED display with more dust and water protection than before. It will also have a dual setup camera from the rear and also 3D sensor FaceTime camera. The smartphone is reported also to sport an advance wireless charging.
