Tech giants Nokia, Samsung, Apple, and Google, could start another smartphone revolution. 3D hologram smartphones are the next big thing for the mobile industry, and mobile companies will likely venture into such domain to suffice curiosity and demands of consumers.

With recently concluded Mobile World Congress, smartphone experts, critics, and enthusiasts gazed into the latest models and key specs featured during the said event. Despite the introduction of superior screens, improved cameras, fast wireless charging, and faster processors, it still cannot be denied that the progress was incremental. It seems like there is an innovation hiatus, according to USA Today.

In view of the given facts, prominent smartphone brands are faced with the challenge of making mobile devices exciting again. Thus, the idea of 3-D hologram smartphones is not far from being realized. Hologram technology may likely be introduced by tech giants in order to distinguish one smartphone era to another.

Aside from the hologram feature, a real wireless charging could also excite smartphone enthusiasts. As of the current writing, wireless charging is simply a wireless charging in a sense that it uses wireless pad or mat, but in itself, the pads are still connected to a power source.

Moreover, in terms of wireless connection, the 5G network is a good combination with the aforementioned updates. Such technology will likely be translated into a speed at least 1-gigabit per second, with a latency of under 10ms.

Meanwhile, great efforts and funds are being poured into research to innovate current studies on hologram use for mobile device use. One of the known studies currently being perfected is called the "HoloFlex." The said smartphone is the idea of Queen's University's Human Media Lab, which combines flexible body and holographic display.

With most tech and mobile companies expressing more interest in bendable phones, the arrival of hologram mobile devices may still be far. However, with the current developments and innovation in the various field of technology, hologram phones will not simply remain in concepts and prototypes.
