Finalized iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Remains Unreleased as 32-bit iPhones, iPads Gain Fresh Route to Jailbreaking?

Luca Todesco is out of the public jailbreaking scene and it's unclear if the dev remains committed to finalizing his Yalu jailbreak solutions. But truth to be told, jailbreaking is far from dead as numerous JB tools are out there and ready to use.

As mentioned, Yalu is not finalized but surely usable. It's no secret though that Todesco's latest work is based on iOS 10.2, meaning the solution will only run on the same version from Apple and theoretically lower but certainly not higher.

If users have already made the jump to version 10.2.1 then the jailbreak door is closed on them - the iOS version is no longer signed by Apple so an official downgrade path is not possible anymore. More so in the case of iPhones and iPads now running v. 10.3 - the Yalu102 jailbreak will not work on Apple's latest mobile OS release.

And even in the event that the Yalu jailbreak can be applied, users need to know that the crack is not for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus users. As known in the jailbreak world, Todesco is yet to complete the jailbreak package so the tool can only crack open certain 64-bit iPhones and iPads.

It's important to note too that the Yalu jailbreak is semi-tethered and users need to accept the inconvenience or re-jailbreaking every device reboot. Also, the Yalu jailbreak like the Pangu9 has this 7-day signing bug so certification re-signing is to be expected each week unless one has developer account.

As for the iOS 32-bit zone, the options available are Pangu's 9.2-9.3.3 jailbreak and Home Depot, which works for iOS 9.1 to 9.3.4. And according to iDownloadBlog.com, soon a re-store bug will be made available to permit the downgrading from nearly all existing iOS firmware versions going to iOS 9.x, which essentially will be the workaround to the Home Depot or Pangu jailbreak.

The same report indicated that that tool will see a release date this April, somehow underscoring the fact that despite the lack of a finalized iOS 10.2 jailbreak release and the abrupt exit of the tool's creator from the scene, jailbreaking is certainly alive and kicking.
