'Watch Dogs 2' Update: Upcoming 'Showdown' Multiplayer Mode will be Free Next Month; New DLC Schedules Revealed!

The latest updates for "Watch Dogs 2" will feature a free multiplayer mode and new details on DLC schedules revealed.

Ubisoft announced an impressive amount new DLCs for "Watch Dogs 2" as the game will feature a new four player co-operative mode called "Showd0wn" and it will launch on April for free.

Aside from the new multiplayer, the April DLC for "Watch Dogs 2" a motocross, ekart and drone races, Armored Truck features, a non-lethal paint ball rifle and 13 new clothing items.

When Ubisoft released information about the "Watch Dogs 2" season pass last year, "Showd0wn" was listed as part of the "No Compromise" DLC package. However, the development team has since made the decision to release this content for free, in the hopes of building a sizeable player base for matchmaking purposes for gaming fans to enjoy, Gamerant reported.

Producer Kris Young that he wanted to have as many people as possible playing the new "Watch Dogs 2" game mode for a better challenge, better matchmaking time and quality, and a healthier, more active community. Young added that he went to the commiunity for feedback in order to make the decision for free DLC plans.

In other news, Ubisoft also released new details for their DLC plans in "Watch Dogs 2" on April, May and June.

April will feature the "No Compromise" DLC which featured a new DedSec operation "Moscow Gambit," Six single player race time trials with leader boards, new clothing sets, abilities and vehicles with unique behaviors and two non-lethal weapons: Air Shotgun and Sniper Stun rifle.

For May, the DLC will include seamless PVP support for Armored Truck, PVE Event, improvements of leader board interface, minor improvements on Bounty Hunter mode and bug fixes.

Lastly, June will feature support for four player exploration of the city and activities, and numerous bug fixes and improvements, GameSpot reported.

Ubisoft will launch "Showd0wn" on April 17, while the "No Compromise" DLC will launch on April 18 for the PlayStation 4 and May 18 for the Xbox and PC platforms.

"Watch Dogs 2" is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
