Apple, a Cupertino-based tech giant, has just released the official version of iOS 10.3 for everyone. This would be the last major software update for iPhones, iPads and iPods before the big iOS 11, which will be rolling out in June. Though there are several fine tweaks that might be worth the upgrade, people should not expect obvious changes in iOS 10.3 version.

Apple ID Profile

At the top of the settings menu, there is a new profile section which includes all of the user's account information. Users can click on their profile to access their App Store, iTunes, iCloud, and Family Sharing information which are all in one place.

To see a list of all the Apple devices linked to those accounts, they have to scroll down to see it. Users are still required to log in to their Find my IPhone app on their phones or thru the web browser to access them all; however, it will at least save them from digging through settings with iOS 10.3.

iCloud storage breakdown

Users can now see exactly how they are using their iCloud storage with iOS 10.3. They would just simply click on the iCloud option on the new profile section. By tapping the graph at the top of this section, users will not be only able to figure out exactly what the storage hogs are, but it also give them a device and program-specific breakdown detailing of how many gigs of storage being utilized.

Weather in Maps

This makes it possible for users to have a glimpse of the weather wherever they go with iOS 10.3. The latest update integrates a tiny weather bug to the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, which shows the current weather conditions in that specific area. Continue holding the weather bug to open the weather app in a new screen or just 3D touch it for a seven-day breakdown of the weather.

Find my AirPods

For those who have a pair of AirPods, then this feature would definitely save them time and money. Users have to sign in to their Find my IPhone app. Now, with iOS 10.3, they should see the AirPods as one of the devices associated with their account.

Whenever those AirPods go missing, they could click to see the last known location of the said 'Pods when they were paired with their phone. Additionally, they can also ping them to make them ring.

App compatibility status

It is possible that some iOS users might have been holding on to few apps which have stopped receiving updates. These apps could make the devices buggy and sluggish. Now with the iOS 10.3, it is made easy to identify the guilty apps right from the Setting menu.

According to CNET, users have to click on the "About" option on their General settings. If there are any incompatible apps, there should be an arrow appearing next to the number which is next to Applications. By another click, it should go to the App Compatibility page listing the culprits.

Moreover, BGR details that some other features included in iOS 10.3 are App transition animations, New File System, Voice Call Continuity for Verizon, and Podcasts Widget.
