The Huawei Honor 6X is now available in two new color options.

The Huawei Honor 6X has attained huge popularity since its launch in China as it is an affordable smartphone that is packed with dual rear cameras. It was launched in three colors during its October 2016 launch. It is available in colors like Gray, Silver and Gold. However, the company is going to debut Blue and Pink colors for the Honor 6X, Mobile Xpose reported.

The Blue and Pink Honor 6X have been made available in China, but there is no confirmation on which other markets will be receiving these variants.  However, India seems to be one of the markets that might get the Blue and Pink Honor 6X as there is a lot of competition between mid-range smartphones. Making these new colors for Honor 6X available in India, the smartphone would be able to attract more customers. There is no confirmation whether the U.S. markets will be getting these new color options for Honor 6X.

The smartphone was launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In January this year, Huawei confirmed that the Android 7.0 Nougat update would be available in Q3 for Honor 6X owners.  However, in February, the company claimed that it won't be able to release Nougat update for Honor 6X in February, Gizmo China reported.

At the beginning of March, the Honor 6X users in the U.S. with the opportunity to join the beta update program to test the new version of Android. Those who enroll for it can test the Android Nougat build before its final release.

The update has a weight of 2.3 GB and it carries the EMUI 5. skin. In order to enroll in the beta program, users are required to send the IMEI number of the phone to Huaweiful@huwaeicom. Since the beta build has been released, the Honor 6X is expected to get final Android 7.0 Nougat update soon.
