Game developer Psyonix has denied rumors that they will soon allow real money betting on the "Rocket League" game. Psyonix VP of Publishing Jeremy Dunham said during an interview that they have not considered any form of real money betting for the game. He also denied rumors that they are affiliated with esports betting platform Unikrn.

Dunham also said that they do not support the idea of real money betting on the game or would they ever endorse such idea in the "Rocket League" game or any of their future games. However, in an email sent by Unikrn CEO Rahul Sood, he mentioned how much they love the game and so with the rest of their line up, they open to the idea of real money betting. Nevertheless, he mentioned that they are not in any form affiliated with Psyonix or had any talks about game betting.

In his email, he said "We are not in any way associated with the publishers of Rocket League. However, we love the game, and like other titles on our sportsbook, we create odds and content on the pro matches and their top tier tournaments."

But contrary to the news that Psyonix is not a willing participant on the real money betting on the "Rocket League" game, Unikrn has announced that the "Rocket League" game being approved for real money betting is still up. The approval apparently came from regulators in Australia. Unikrn also confirmed that the real money betting on the game will start on Season 3 of the "Rocket League" championship series until the World Championship in June.

Psyonix's "Rocket League" is the first game to ever try the cross platform from Xbox One to PC. The developer has been more than happy to be the first to try the feature.
