Xiaomi is likely to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC for the standard or lower variant of the Mi 6 smartphone. Its flagship edition is pegged to come powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset.

Earlier, it was rumored that Xiaomi Mi 6 phone will be launching on April 16. However, according to latest rumor the launch is likely to be in May due to shortage in stock of Snapdragon 835 chipset.

According to fresh rumor coming out from China, Xiaomi is likely to announce its standard or lower variant Mi 6 phone with Snapdragon 821 SoC. The other companies like LG and HTC such as LG G6 and HTC U Ultra have launched their new high-end phones equipped with these chipset.

Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumored to come in three variants. It is said to feature Snapdragon 835 and Mediatek Helio X30 chipset. The standard variant is speculated to sport a flat screen and will include a 4 GB of RAM. The higher variant is expected to come with a curved display with a 6 GB of RAM. Recent rumors indicates that the smartphone will feature Snapdragon 821 SoC. All the three variants are said to come with dual rear cameras, AndroidPure reported.

Xiaomi is also rumored to be working with successor of the Mi Mix that was released in November 2016. The smartphone is said to be the alleged Mi Mix 2.

In the concept render, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 appears to come bezel-less. According to new report, if the information is true, the Xiaomi's upcoming phone Mi Mix 2 will have 93 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone in the render appears to feature curved edges without physical Home button. Hence it is said to include on-screen fingerprint sensor like other high-end devices. Some rumors indicate the Mi Mix 2 to sport a 6.4-inch 2K display, while others point at 6.2-inch with quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels that supports an aspect ratio of 18:9, Gizbot reported.
