Korean news site The Investor reported on Tuesday that the GS8 will be introduced as planned on March 29 then preorders will follow on April 7 for South Korea. Then by the 18th, the freshly-minted Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will commence delivery, meaning Korean consumers will be using the new Android flagship days ahead of the rest of the world.

The same report confirmed that worldwide rollout of the GS8 will not happen until April 21 or nearly a month after the handsets' revelation in New York and London.

Samsung is pretty upbeat that its first 2017 flagship will set history for its mobile division. The Investor said projections point to a scenario in which the GS8 will outsell the Galaxy Note 7, at least during the preorder period. The Note 7 was snapped up by around 400,000 buyers when initially introduced and Samsung is looking to surpass the high numbers.

And there are solid reasons to support such a forecast. Going by the latest leaked details on the GS8, the handset appears headed to blockbuster sales. Slash Leaks published leaked images that all but confirmed how gorgeous the two GS8 models will be. As presented in earlier rumors, the handsets will boast of sexy design that is highlighted by a nearly all-screen front display with the home button evidently missing.

Slash Leaks also confirmed that the GS8 will have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display while the bigger GS8+ display will stretch 6.2-inch. Both will be in 18:9 aspect ratio. For South Koreans and the rest of the world, the new Samsung flagship will be powered by Exynos 8895 while in the United States the devices will be fired up by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC. No RAM provision was mentioned in the report but it is believed 4GB will be standard though rumors say the China versions will have up to 6GB of RAM support.

The Galaxy S8 will jump out of the box with 64GB of storage space while the GS8+ will have 128GB of internal memory with provision for memory expansion. And both will boast of 12MP-rear and 8MP-front camera set up.

On release date, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will sell starting at around $00 and as expected the larger Galaxy S8 Plus will be a bit pricier at $890. The GS8 is predicted to outsell its upsized version.
