The recently revealed Moto G5 Plus will be getting its first update and is currently in works. According to various sources, Motorola is already in the process of releasing its first update.

The Moto G5 Plus will be getting its firmware build NPN25.137-33 for a last minute bug fix in its software. The update on the device will improve and fix some of the phone's features, including the device's audio quality while recording video and stability improvements, reported by DroidReport.

The update 'on the Moto G5 Plus will be over-the-air and 280MB in size. 10-15 minutes would be enough to finish the update. Some cases of updates before show that it may take a few more days before it reaches to all units.

Moto G5 Plus users can manually check for the update themselves through the phone's settings. All they need to do is head on to Settings, then About Phone, then check Software Updates.

In other news, the Moto G5 Plus will not be having the Google Assistant feature, according to LatinPost. The announcement went out after the device's worldwide launch. Motorola mentioned that the device will only be receiving the Google Assistant feature by a future external update. The company's statement was supported by saying that Google will release the feature as a Play Store update.

The Moto G5 Plus will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor and Octa-core Cortex CPU. The device is also equipped with an Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB or 64GB that can be expanded up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.

The device has a 12MP rear camera with f/1.7, autofocus, and dual-LED flash primary shooter. The front camera is equipped with 5MP. It also features a front mounted fingerprint sensor and a non-removable 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The Moto G5 Plus had its debut at the 2017 MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. The device is said to be one of the next-gen frontrunners of Motorola's G series. It will have two colour ways, Lunar Grey and Fine Gold.
