Katcr.co that was launched as a successor for KickassTorrents is gaining huge traffic gradually.

KickassTorrents.com and its related domain names were taken down by the U.S. Government in July last year. After the demise of the site, the crew members of KickassTorrents came together to launch Katcr.co, a forum site. They have tried to hint several times that the highly popular torrent site would be coming back soon. In fact, a new version of the site had surfaced in December last year, TorrentFreak reported.

The new site has gradually gained traffic and it is going to celebrate "Happy Torrents Day" on March 30. The new site is now receiving millions of visitors each month, but it is still less than the traffic that was coming to the original site. On the event of Happy Torrents Day, the KAT crew members are encouraging its users to share as many torrents as possible.  

The new site appears quite similar to the original site. It took many years for developers to build the original site and the present staff are putting all efforts to bring to the level of the old site. The current site is experiencing various issues such as overloads and timeouts as it is not easy to rebuild a site from scratch.  

KATcr.co staff does not consider it as the successor of the original KickassTorrents site. Its technical duties were formerly handled by a different team, but it has the same staff members, uploaders and users. The new site is not under the radar of law enforcement, but it has occasionally received legal requests to takedown certain torrents. The team aims to gradually develop it into a major torrent site

KickassTorrents is still defunct, but if the founder of the site is released soon, the current team would switch to the old site. Otherwise, it will continue to grow Katcr.co
