"No Man's Sky" has just received its patch 1.23 for the PS4 and PC platforms, which promises to bring fixes to some of the remaining issues with its Pathfinder expansion. The Pathfinder brought new vehicles to the game, support for PS4 Pro, graphics improvements and base-sharing.

It is also noted that Update 1.22 for "No Man's Sky" allowed the Exocraft Geobays to be crafted on any planet, which means that vehicles can be summoned anywhere. Most of the fixes brought by this update are related to new vehicles, but the latest patch aims to address the other primary issues.

Update 1.23 is based primarily on players' feedback, including the new option for players to lock the PS4's framerate to bring stability to the game. Below are some of the changes brought by "No Man's Sky" Update 1.23:

The HBAO is optimized so that it runs faster and the Sentinel drones are now accurate in its investigation when in a vehicle. The bug that's causing players to fall through the floor when exiting a ship is now fixed, and the ships that spawn on top of each other are also fixed. The crash in physics and the texturing problems in freighter bases are now fixed.

HDR issues in "No Man's Sky" are also fixed such as the font anti-aliasing, the performance of UI rendering is improved, including the issues on UI elements having over-saturated colors. Error messaging are added for unsuccessful uploads to Steam Workshop, and a crash is fixed when players are uploading and downloading bases using the Steam Workshop.

A bug that causes poor performance when players are in a vehicle near predator creatures is now fixed as well as the issue caused when players are dying in permadeath with their inventory screen open. The white sphere that appears when at the photo mode boundary is now fixed, and the default to frame lock is on for PS4 and Off for the PS4Pro.
