In an interview with Guerrilla Managing Director Hermen Hulst, he noted that the team is excited about the result of the labor of love that they are giving to the game. "We're thrilled that Horizon Zero Dawn has been embraced by critics and players alike. Developing the game was a labor of love," he said.

He expressed how extremely satisfying it is for them to see that the excitement they felt while developing the game is now enjoyed by the public. He further said the game is just the start of Aloy's story.

To date, the game is the highest-selling new first party IP launched on the PS4 console. This is also Guerrilla Game's biggest debut ever. According to Shawn Layden, the Chairman of SIE Worldwide Studios, they already knew that the game would be something special and it is gratifying for them to see how fans received the game.

"Horizon Zero Dawn," which is an exclusive title for PS4, has made a smash hit in the UK charts since its release. It occupied the number 1 spot and pushed "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" to number 2.
