Microsoft is reported to be among the companies interested in using the latest AMD high-end chipset. Seeing a Microsoft Surface Pro 5 being powered by Ryzen processor could happen soon. Microsoft is seriously considering the Zen-based CPU for the Surface Pro 5, according to MobiPicker.

Meanwhile, Apple is looking to sport AMD Raven Ridge APU for their MacBook Pro 2017. The idea of AMD's latest processors supporting powerful devices like MacBook Pro and Surface Pro is not strange considering the positive reviews associated with the Ryzen CPU.

Similar view has also been associated with gaming machines that currently powered by Intel's high-end Core chips. As previously reported, Gaming PC makers like Dell's Alienware and Falcon Northwest could also integrate AMD Ryzen CPU to their devices if there is a demand for it, according to Computer World.

With the growing interest of customers in the high-end AMD processors, the likelihood of seeing Microsoft make a shift from an Intel to an AMD chipset is highly possible. Moreover, the CPU updates that AMD has assured customers will surely boost the popularity and demand for Ryzen powered devices.

AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su said that the company would be adding more things to its Zen-based CPU "to get even more performance going forward." This would mean more room for improvement of the Ryzen processor and a greater threat to Intel's dominance.
