The first half of March has passed, and the rumor about Apple's upcoming Spring event is getting louder. The Cupertino-based tech giant has not been used to holding a hardware event during Spring, except for that one time in March 2016 when Apple unveiled the iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro variant. Speaking of Apple's Pro tablet, the rumors are rife that the upcoming Apple Event will showcase the iPad Pro 2.

According to the latest rumors, Apple is expected to present the new additions to the iPad family as early as March. At least three new iPad variants may be showcased during the special company event, and one of these will be the second generation iPad Pro tablet. While the expectation for now is that Apple will hold their next event this March, there is a growing possibility that the iPad Pro 2 showcasing will happen in April instead.

As there have been no announcements or invitations given out by Apple for a Spring event, it is getting more likely that the iPad showcase will not happen this March. The special event may take place during the official opening of the new Apple Park HQ on April 4. Apple may take this as an opportunity to launch the new iPad models, including the iPad Pro 2.

Yet, there still remains a likelihood that Apple will skip the upposed Spring event intended for the iPad Pro 2 and other iPad variants. Apple Insider reported that instead of holding an official live event, the company may opt to release the new iPad devices straight to the Apple website for pre-orders. It is also worth noting that the production of new iPad units this 2017 might be delayed due to low CPU yields. Nevertheless, it is better to wait for Apple's next move in the coming days, whether they will be sending out invites for the Spring launch or not.

According to Value Walk, the iPad Pro 2 will be powered by the new A10X Fusion chipset. This processor is expected to be more powerful than the A9X chipset that is now being used for the current iPad Pro and other mobile devices. As for its system memory, the iPad Pro 2 is likely to stick with 4GB RAM, but an extended 6GB RAM is also a possibility if Apple really wants the second generation tablet to be significant.

Just like the iPhone 8, the iPad Pro 2 is also being rumored to receive an OLED display screen. This will be a huge leap from the current iPad Pro's IPS LCD screen, if ever this plan pushes through. The over-all design of the new iPad Pro is expected to be different with a bezel-less appearance. This will not only add to the device's unique look, but it will also give the iPad Pro 2 a wider display area without increasing its over-all size.
