"Clash Royale" gameplay revision has been confirmed for release sometime this year. The latest clash update primarily revolves around a new battle mode setup and brings major gameplay changes.

The modified version of "Clash of Clans" will also undergo a major gameplay modification with the upcoming release of its game patch. Apart from the usual video game fixes and improvements, the upcoming Royale update will center on the 2v2 mode as an added player engagement.

Dubbed as "Clan Battle Mode," this new setup will engage two teams of two players facing each other, according to Pocket Gamerz. The game update would revolve around a player's invitation to a friend to fight along with him in the said 2v2 mode.

However, gamers claim that this impending "Clash Royale" gameplay update will affect the competitive gaming scene significantly. To what extent it would affect the game remains unknown. Supercell hopes to replicate its previous successes with the introduction of the new "Clash Royale" clan battle mode.

Despite the arrival of top competitors, like "Pokemon Go," Supercell has managed to remain successful. In 2016, the gaming studio managed to rake a revenue of $2.3 billion.

As of the current writing, it has been confirmed that along with the new "Clash Royale" battle mode, there will also be changes to the arena width.  The Royale arena will be expanded by four tiles, according to Moe Sports.

Moreover, elixir replenishment will come slower than its normal rate, and King Tower is shared between players. Since two Kings will be inside the tower, it is expected that the tower will be much bigger compared to the usual multiplayer match. In terms of viewing capacity, a teammate cannot view what the other player's cards are. However, his teammate could see where the cards are being dragged.

The release date of the game update is yet to be announced by Supercell.
