Naughty Dog has created its series in the Uncharted franchise; the "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." The series to an extent took longer to end as DLCs were released including the upcoming "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy."

The game developer has said before that there won't be new Uncharted series after The Lost Legacy, but with the success of the game, fans can't help but inquire whether they are reconsidering the idea.

Naughty Dog on the other hand remained firm to its original statement citing the team's busy schedule can't possibly create another Uncharted series. An official response from Naughty Dog featured on the Attack of the Fanboy website said "I would say that Naughty Dog doing an Uncharted after this is unlikely. I would never say never, but we've got The Last of Us Part II on our plates and there's so much other stuff that [we want to explore]. It'd be hard.

If we magically had that two-team, three-team studio, sure - it'd be great to keep doing it. We really love the franchise, but the studio has limited resources and lots of other ideas. I'd say the likelihood is low."

The much anticipated "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" DLC is seen as something that will bring closure to the game and for possible series to come. Although the developer has not entirely closed its doors to the game, the amount of encouraging statement from the developer is lacking.

According to the Polygon, "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" DLC will feature the characters of Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. Frazer's character debuted on the "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves." Naughty Dog's studio co-president Evan Wells said that, as much as they wanted to continue the franchise, the team definitely has other ideas than need to go under development soon. Apparently, it's a restricting effort having to answer the same questions at a panel with the franchise extending yearly.
