Samsung has just launched the new 2017 versions of the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 last Monday. The recently brand new mid-range Galaxy A-series models will be replacing the 2016 versions of the Galaxy A-series.

The newly released Galaxy A-series will follow its predecessors and will be offering flagship type of experience that will not let consumers spend a lot of money. It features an all-glass and metal frame, the smartphones are also IP68 certified which means dust and water-resistant. This makes them a very ideal mobile device for their corresponding price details.

Furthermore, the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will offer a new and hopefully a better version of TouchWiz. It will also have an increase in megapixels in the camera department. According to Gadgets 360, the smartphones will also feature Samsung Pay.

Processor

The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will have a 1.9GHz Exynos 7880 (8-core ARM Cortex-A53) processor together with a Mali-T830MP3 GPU. According to Samsung, it is equipped with a unique 14nm FinFET process technology, Exynos 7880 utilizes up to a significant 36 percent less power compared to its predecessor that was built on 28nm HKMG process at the same performance level. This means that it will mainly focus on giving greater thermal efficiency as well as achieving a longer battery life.

RAM And Internal Storage:

The two smartphones will pack 3GB of RAM. Its internal storage will bring 32GB of internal memory which can still be expanded through a MicroSD slot up to 256GB.

Screen:

The Galaxy A5 will be having a 5.2-inch screen while the Galaxy A7 will be having a 5.7-inch screen. The two mobile devices will have a 100p Super AMOLED screen with Corning's Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Camera:

The rear camera for both devices will have a 16MP rear sensor with f/1.9 aperture, furnished with phase detection autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording. The front camera on both devices will also have the same features as what the rear camera has.

Operating System:

Both will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a TouchWiz UI.

Battery:

The Galaxy A7 will pack a 3,000mAh battery while the Galaxy A5 will be having a higher capacity which is 3,600mAh. Both of the mobile devices will also support fast charging.

Connectivity:

Both devices will include 4G LTE, NFC, dual-SIM and USB Type-C port.

How to Buy:

Both phones will be available for pre-orders from March 15 through Samsung's online store and offline retailers. The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will be having a Black Sky and Gold Sand color way.

Prices:

The Galaxy A5 will be priced at India for Rs 28,990 ($435) while the Galaxy A7 will be priced at Rs 33,490 ($502).
