'Tekken 7' Nintendo Switch Version Teased Soon; Katsuhiro Harada Responds to Cross-platform Gameplay Feature!

New updates for "Tekken 7" will feature a possible cross-platform gameplay and a Nintendo Switch version coming soon.

Game director Katsuhiro Harada announce several details regarding the cross-platform gameplay feature in "Tekken 7" as he told gaming fans that it is no the developer's issue but rather a problem pertaining to console manufacturers and their security policies.

Meaning, it is up to Sony and Microsoft if they wanted "Tekken 7" to have the same cross-platform gameplay features as other video game titles. Fan have been adamant about having cross-play feature, but the possibility is rather unlikely at the moment, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

In addition, Harada that the cross-platform will not be a problem to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. But when it comes to the PC platform, Harada explained that their might be security risk, as PC users can take advantage of other players on the console, thus "cheating" their way into winning online matches.

The risks of being hacked and data mining could jeopardize "Tekken 7" itself and Bandai Namco Entertainment will not hesitate to go through with the plan.

Meanwhile, Harada talked about Nintendo's new handheld console Nintendo Switch as he told GameSpot that he was surprised about the unveiling the console, giving gaming fans a slight tease that they might have "Tekken 7" ported to the platform soon.

The publication also asked Harada if would support Sony and Microsoft’s upgraded consoles, namely the Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro. Harada explained that these gaming platforms are relatively new and it is hard for him to confirm anything at the moment.

Previous reports revealed that Eddy Gordo will be joining "Tekken 7's" growing roster and that Lei Wulong, Anna Williams, Julia Chang and Zafina could end up as DLC characters in the game's post-launch plans.

"Tekken 7" will launch on June 2 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
