The Nintendo Switch will launch tomorrow and SuperData Research company projected the console to sell at least 5 million units in 2017. According to the report, the biggest challenge for Nintendo is convincing hardcore console gamers to consider buying the Switch as a secondary platform. The PS4 currently leads the sale of such console; trailing behind is Microsoft's Xbox One.

Stated in the report is the projected regions that will have the highest record of sales once the Nintendo Switch is launched. North America is predicted to cover 45 percent of the of the Switch sales followed by Europe at 35 percent and Japan at 12 percent.

Gamespot reported that, the SuperData Research statement said "Asking $300 for a new console without a bundled game is a comparatively higher barrier to entry for consumers, considering that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are already discounted and come with a free game." This is another challenge for the console given how the price seem to be too steep without any bundled game to go with it at launch.

Apparently, the 5 million sales target for 2017 is a sluggish number compared the staggering number of consoles sold by Sony and Microsoft. But for a new platform that aims to compete with the two giant consoles, the numbers will be able to help Nintendo capitalize on the new device. Meanwhile, some of the games scheduled to arrive on the new Nintendo Switch include "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," "The legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Dragon Quest X," "Minecraft," "Sonic Mania," "Mario Kart 8," "Call of Duty: Black Ops" and many more.

At least 12 of the confirmed Nintendo Switch games will also arrive on the launching of the platform. For more news and latest update on the Nintendo Switch, read us here on the Telegiz.
