'Destiny' DLC Update: 'Crimson Day' Event To Launch Next Month; Privacy Controls, Huge Update For 'The Taken King' On September!

New "Destiny" details will feature the launch date of the "Crimson Day" event next month, privacy controls and a new update for "The Taken King" on September.

Bungie announced the event for next month called the "Crimson Day" and it will feature a new 2v2 Crucible mode "Crimson Double" where in two guardians will team-up to earn new loot within the game. Community Manager David Dague teased that "Crimson Double" will feature a "new twist" born from a gameplay and mechanics that only battle-tested "Destiny" gamers will appreciate.

The "Crimson Day" event in "Destiny: The Taken King" will start on Feb. 9 and it will run for seven days and Bungie will reveale further details for "Crimson Double" sometime this week, IDigital Times reported. "Destiny" players will be happy to hear that the Iron Banner will return this week starting on Jan. 26, which will give them time to prepare for the "Crimson Day" event after earning new loots, gears, weapons and upgrades.

Aside from the "Crimson Day" event, Bungie revealed that their will be changes in their community network, which offers new options for third party app developers, as well as keeping them private.

The developers are planning to have a privacy options in their next update for "Destiny: The Taken King", as gamers can now toggle their settings if they want to show their non-equipped Inventory, historical stats and advisor settings. App developers will also able to show gamers which calcified fragments that each player will retrieve for their character, VG 24/7 reported.

There is also a huge update for "Destiny: The Taken King" on September as Bungie tease players about the Rising Light Emblem displayed in the Mercury architecture silhouette. Players will need to log in, play the game and finished every activity this month as the emblem will point out the next event in September.

It was rumored that the September announcement could be the launch date for "Destiny 2" but was delayed by Bungie as they feel that the expansion could offer more for gamers. Marketing director Eric Osborne stated that the September update could be bigger than the expansion itself.

"Destiny: The Taken King" is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
