It has been highly rumored months back that 2017 might be the release year for "God of War's" game sequel. Since there is no reliable evidence to support the claim, the speculated date quickly vanished in the background. However, this time around, a listing from Amazon suggests that "GoW 4" might be released on December 29, 2017.

To somehow reinforce the projected timeline for the release of the Greek mythology based game franchise, voice actor Christopher Judge recently made an exciting activity online. Judge who gives voice to the main character Kratos, accordingly hinted that "God of War 4" will indeed be set for 2017, according to Express. Thus, giving more authority to the listing made by Amazon.

The recent activities and updates online points to the upcoming release of the much-anticipated game sequel from Santa Monica Studio. Further updates are to be expected at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this June draws near.

Meanwhile, in terms of storyline and other significant game updates, little are known about the upcoming game. Details about "God of War 4" are released piece by piece. However, when a fan asked game director Cory Barlog regarding the reboot, Barlog flat out acknowledged that the reboot could be the start of a whole new saga or trilogy for Kratos.

Other details of the game include Kratos being a protective father over his son. While he is not training his son to catch food or venture into the wilderness, Kratos brings along the child during his battle against monsters, which includes not only low-level monsters but also enemy bosses.
