The new HP hybrid laptop-tablet not only has some impressive specs, it also has an extremely durable build. HP's latest x2 612 G2 model will appeal to those who love to take their work outdoors.

The HP G2 has a 1,920x 1,280 12-inch WUXGA display. According to TechRadar, the G2 comes with Intel's latest 7th generation Kaby Lake processor. The hybrid laptop tablet is fitted with up to 8GB RAM and an Intel Graphics 615 GPU.

Other features include a Wacom Pen, a back-lit keyboard and even a built-in fingerprint reader. The battery of the G2 HP hybrid laptop-tablet can last for up to 11 hours and more impressively, it only takes 30 minutes to charge the tablet up to 50 percent. The G2 comes with a microSD card reader, Bluetooth, dual-band WiFi, and even the option of 4G LTE.

Although the tablet's specs might be enough to warrant a purchase, its durability is still its best selling point. According to Engadget, the HP G2 sports a Gorilla Glass display that can withstand dust, high temperature, shock, dust, and long drops.

This device also comes fitted into a pretty durable case so its very much intended for outdoor usage. In an event that the hybrid laptop tablet needs to be repaired, owners can easily eject its removable hard drive and safely keep their files before surrendering the tablet itself to the repair center.
