"A Criminal Past," the second big expansion of "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" is out available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. This standalone, which costs $12, is a prequel to the main "Mankind Divided" campaign.

"A Criminal Past" deals with Adam Jensen's first mission for Task Force 29. In this mission, he is dropped as an undercover into a hostile, high-security prison, dubbed as "The Penthouse," according to PC Invasion.

The official description of the "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's" second big expansion reads that Jensen's mission is to track down and get sensitive information from his fellow agent who has gone dark. The description further reads that Jensen is expected to confront a darker side to his role before the day is finished while success in the said mission would help him fight against the terror around the world.

"A Criminal Past" will be priced at US $12, £9.49, AU $17.95. "System Rift" was "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's" first expansion which was launched in September 2016. "A Criminal Past" is reportedly available as a standalone and as a part of a $30 season pass. Some add-on content were launched for free in January 2017. More so, players who own the game's Season Pass or Digital Deluxe edition may access the latest DLC without any extra cost.

"Mankind Divided" recently got a new spinoff game release on PC, GameSpot reported. On the other hand, the previous month report detailed that the franchise would be placed on hiatus by Square Enix. The decision was made because of the game's underwhelming sales.

"Mankind Divided" went straight to No. 1 in the UK sales charts when it was launched in August last year, but sales monitor Chart-Track claims that the game's predecessor, "Human Revolution," had a much stronger debut.
