Pokemon Go has released its latest update which opened up a whole new playing field. Players can now find new special items such as evolution ones to help evolve Pokemon. The evolution items are used to evolve Gen 1 Pokemon to Generation 2 which can be used on their own or with candy. Pokemon Go players can also find new berries to help them catch Pokemon.

The new Pokemon Go Gen 2 update brings a lot of new features to the game, including new UI changes, additional avatar customization options, more than 80 Johto Pokemon of Gen 2 and berries. There is still no details on the much awaited trading features, though, but it is still considered as a massive update to the augmented-reality mobile game.

According to reports, the Pokemon Go update comes with evolution items including Metal Coat, Dragon Scale, King's Rock, Sun Stone, and Up-Grade. The new berries are Pinap and Nanab. Nanab can slow a Pokemon movement and make it easier to catch whereas Pinap doubles the candy amount you get from catching a Pokemon.

All special items are available at Pokestops but the drop rate for the evolution items seems to be low compared to the drop rate for new berries. Those who regularly visit Pokestops and have not receive any special items should not despair because evolution items appear uncommon.

One trainer said he visited 20 Pokestops and did not get even one evolution item while another one said he got 10 new berries but no evolution item when he spun 50 Pokestops. There are luckier ones as well, though.

Meanwhile, Niantic CEO John Hanke has confirmed that Pokemon Go will receive PvP, live events and trading soon. Pokemon Go fans are eagerly waiting for Niantic to announce its plans for the game but it has been a long time since they have last heard anything about it. Now Niantic has broken its silence and reveals its plans for the hit game.

According to reports, Hanke has not announced concrete details about the game yet but talked about what fans can expect. He said that Pokemon trading and PvP are features which were previously incorporated in Pokemon Go but because of server problems, it wasn't fully integrated.

He added that many deferrals on major features could be due to initial glitches and Niantic still has to fix the basics. Nevertheless, he assures the fans that PvP and trading are on the way. Hanke also has a vision of Niantic live events. He said that he loves events and he wants Niantic to do it this year. "It's complicated, though, to do them at the scale that 'Pokemon GO' demands," he explained.
