The strong competition surrounding the tech industry is still going strong. The mobile platform is a constant battleground for uniqueness and stunning features, and those are the elements that Huawei Mate 9 needs to overcome.

It is understandable that the iPhone 7 Plus and Google Pixel are among the noted devices of this time. With its specs and features designed to offer unprecedented mobile experience, Huawei Mate 9 must top the challenge and outpace these highly acclaimed mobile brands.

With its 5.9-inch display, the Huawei Mate 9 is clearly aimed at large-screen smartphone fans and likely wooing users of the ill-fated Samsung Galaxy Note 7 looking for a replacement that doesn't turn into a fireball, reports ASZ.

Users of the previous Mate 8 will no doubt be wondering what has changed. In fact, the Mate 9 looks extremely similar to Mate 8 to the point where it asks if this is no more than a minor upgrade, while on the right are power and volume keys, with a USB-C port at the base with one of the dual speakers, as noted by the same post.

The Huawei Mate 9 also boasts of new additions and features. The headphone jack and infrared port are placed at the top edge of the chassis and the device is easier to use and maneuver.

The Mate 9 Has an absolutely humungous screen. With a footprint, similar in size to the iPhone 7plus it is still able to sport a 5.9″ screen, but much attributed to the small bezels and use of on-screen buttons, according to a separate report from Aivanet.

This massive screen is covered by an equally massive piece of 2.5D Gorilla Glass and the slight bevel is nothing compared to the what Samsung has done with their Edge displays but it adds a little class to the monster phone, the report added on to note.
